Nevada Center for Excellence in Disabilities (NCED) The NCED serves as Nevada’s University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD). The UCEDDs were established and funded by the Developmental Disabilities Rights Assistance and Rights Act (DD Act). UCEDDs work to accomplish a shared vision that foresees a nation in which all Americans, including Americans with disabilities, participate fully in their communities.
Nevada Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities (NGCDD) The Nevada Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities (NGCDD) is a federally funded, self-governing organization within the State of Nevada. Helps people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in Nevada and developing innovative and cost-effective ways to advance advocacy through policy, capacity building and systems change activities to promote equal opportunity, self-determination, and community inclusion.
Northern Nevada Autism Network (NNAN) NNAN was established in 2005 to help families in Elko County affected by autism. The goal NNAN is to increase autism awareness and access to treatment. We believe Elko County’s communities and schools are healthier when children with autism have the benefit of early and comprehensive treatment. NNAN is dedicated to easing families’ uncertainties as they navigate through the world of autism.
