About Project Spectrum

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a medical condition in children and adults that impedes development in social interaction, speech and nonverbal communication, and manifests with restricted and/or repetitive behaviors. The ASD condition symptoms can present differently in each individual with a range of severity across the spectrum, making it a complex lifelong condition.

The Project Spectrum website (https://www.projectspectrum.org/) is designed to connect affected individuals, parents, guardians, caregivers, and supporting organizations with the latest information, medical research, support network with the goal of aiding and bettering the lives of the individuals and/or families living with ASD.

The ProjectSpectrum.org website is run by Project Spectrum Inc., a non-profit organization registered in the state of Florida, USA.

My name is Arthi and I’m a high school student in Orlando, Florida, USA. Growing up with a younger sister on the spectrum made me aware of many hardships that similar families have to face. When I became old enough, I took more responsibility in caring for her. The time I spent with Aditi opened my eyes and I have never slept since. Her strange mannerisms fascinated me on a daily basis as I constantly found myself wondering what she was thinking at any given moment. This home environment made me especially interested in the science behind human behavior and by extension the field of medicine as an aspiring physician, which allows me to make a significant impact on humanity. Thus, I decided to create this website to help the autism community be informed, receive help/services, and stay up to date on new scientific developments in autism research on the news. I hope that this will serve to better the world so that people living with autism may reach their fullest potential.
