When Spectrum asked their city’s school board to include the words “sexual orientation” in the district’s anti-discrimination clause, three local news programs picked up the story and added to the group’s publicity.  The local affiliate of ABC was first to air the story.  NBC and FOX soon followed.  At the next school board meeting, Spectrum gave a presentation to the board about sexual orientation-based discrimination, and FOX decided to film and cover that story as well.
